About us & Experience
Jerry Casertino is an associate attorney at Murphy Burns LLP admitted to practice in the New York State Courts in 2022. He concentrates his practice on defending municipalities and law enforcement officers in civil rights litigation as well as defending municipalities in general litigation including slip/trip and fall accidents and motor vehicle accidents. He earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from Siena College in 2018 before matriculating to Albany Law School where he graduated with honors with his Juris Doctor degree.
While in law school, Jerry was a law clerk with Murphy Burns LLP, as well as legal intern for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York and within the New York State Court of Claims. He served as an associate editor for the Albany Law Review and as a Sponsler Fellow/Teaching Assistant in Criminal Law, Torts, and Contract Law.
Jerry has several years of experience as a police officer and is certified as a Police General Topics Instructor and emergency medical technician.
